Md. Zubaer Ahammed publishes Stock News BD, the website and the app, at no charge. This policy explains what information the service collects and how it is used. If you use the service, you agree to this collection and use.

The website

You do not need an account to read the site. The pages may set a session cookie so the site can function, and Google Analytics may collect usage statistics such as pages viewed and a rough location derived from your IP address. Server logs may keep your IP address, browser, and the time of a request for security and diagnostics.

Accounts and the monitor

Registration asks for your name, email address, and a password. We store the name, the email address, and a hash of the password. We do not store the password itself, and we do not ask you to verify the email address. You can change your name, email address, and password from the account page. Saving a change asks for your current password, and a new email address is not verified. If you choose “Remember me”, the browser keeps a cookie so you can stay signed in. If you use the password reset, we keep a short-lived token for that email address until you use it or it expires.

The monitor stores the share symbols you add, up to 100, and the time you added each one. That list is shown only when you are signed in to your account. You can remove a symbol yourself. It is a reminder list of public market figures. It is not a portfolio, a record of trades, or a recommendation.

You can close your own account from the account page while you are signed in. Closing it asks you to confirm with your password and email address, then deletes the account and the monitor list. A session cookie, a remember-me cookie, server logs, and analytics already described above may remain until they expire or the provider’s own retention ends. If an account is disabled, that person cannot log in, and the login page says so. To ask us to close an account instead, email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the subject “Stock News BD account deletion”.

The app

The Stock News BD app does not require an account. Depending on your device settings, the app and its providers may collect device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, approximate location where you allow it, and crash or performance data. That information is used for analytics, advertising measurement, notification delivery, and keeping the app working. It is encrypted in transit. The app uses Google Play Services, AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and OneSignal. Their own policies describe what they collect.

Market figures

Prices, dividends, Shariah names, and ranking figures come from third-party publishers of public market data. Those figures can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. We do not sell them as personal data, and we do not treat a page view as a trading instruction.

How information is used

Information is used to run, protect, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information. Service providers who host, measure, or advertise the service may process the information above only to do that work.

No responsibility for what you decide

Stock News BD and its publisher accept no responsibility for misinformation, incomplete or outdated information, or for any decision, loss, or claim that follows from using the site or the app. The privacy of third-party sites we link to is their own.

Children

The service is not directed at anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete what we hold.

Deletion and contact

To ask for deletion of other data associated with your use of Stock News BD, email [email protected] with the subject “Stock News BD data deletion request”, or use the contact page. Account closure is described above. We will review the request in line with the law and with what advertising and analytics providers can delete. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
